Westmount Art Shrink-Dinks Workshops are coming in March!
Here's a summary of what customers can expect during the 2-hour workshop session:
Information on new material and techniques: The workshop will introduce participants to Shrinky Dinks, a special type of material used for crafting. They will learn various techniques for working with this material to create earrings.
Hands-on experience: Participants will have the opportunity to make one pair of earrings from scratch. They will engage in activities such as drawing, painting, and cutting their designs using the Shrinky Dinks material.
Advice for future designs: In addition to creating earrings during the workshop, participants will receive advice and tips on how to make more designs on their own in the future. This will empower them to continue exploring their creativity beyond the workshop.
The class structure will be as follows:
10 minutes: Introduction and discussion on shapes and colors in earring making.
10 minutes: Demonstrations on how to use the tools involved in the process.
50 minutes: Participants will work on creating their own unique earring designs, involving drawing, painting, and cutting.
10 minutes: Practice shrinking the designs using a heating gun and heat source.
25 minutes: Glazing and drying the completed designs.
15 minutes: Assembling the earrings.
